A good regular.

In all honesty, on the turn, on this board that came from hell, I was lost.
He's also on a 50% for playing FD aggressively or not, so can't know.
Didn't really know what to do, therefore I just decided to pot control and induce bluff.
5th suit comes in, I call as planned, also to get some info, as I very rarely go to showdown vs this player.

Hey,

What is the range of hands you get to the river with? How does playing the board rank there? :)

If he is a good regular he knows you don't have the Ac on the turn so he will always play well imo. If he will also play well it means you can't do much but not call or not fold too often, meaning you should just call when you don't play the board. He can bluff you off split and vbet a bit thinly since you can sometimes be perceived as calling for the split, just don't actually do it like you did here. What I prefer is to bet turn often vs a good regular as a semibluff. I want him to fold all flushes but Ac and I have outs vs Ac. This is not 100% of the time but your hand is too weak to bluffcatch.
