Hi
Just wondering if anyone could help with a question i have?

I was playing NL Holdem and the player to the right of me +1 was saying how card dead he was then the guy to my immediate right said your card dead look at this then showed him his cards and mucked them this is before any action had taken place i then asked to see his cards as the guy he showed was still in the hand they then said i could not see the cards untill the hand was over as this was the rules i demanded to see the cards as i had 8-8 and want to see if he had one of my outs which he did he had 8-2 it then caused a massive argument, i could'nt see how the player he showed was still in the hand without anyone else seeing the folded cards as surely he had a unfair advantage as he knows what cards are out of the deck

should he of still been able to play the hand knowing what two cards are out or should he of had to fold or should of the rest of the table also been showed the folded cards preflop?

Sorry if this is a little confusing

its pretty bad him showing his cards, the cards should be turned over for everyone to see or the hand re dealt all depending what the house rules are were you play, it sounds like a pub game so chances are no1 really knows lol,

if you ever have any problems or are not sure about rules you should ask to speak to the TD or who ever is in charge to get a proper ruling

Pretty much that. I have barely any live poker experience but the floor should have been called on this. If you're not happy, the dealer should be able to contact the floor if needed. Cards should have been shown but I guess it's different from casino to casino.
