...but I still have some bubble gum in my pocket. *pops gum* mmm, tasty.

So I'm from Puerto Rico, albeit despite being a native and having grown up in the island, I consider English more my first language than I do Spanish (wonders of the internet, huh. ). I have a moderate range of interests, most of which are nerdy, including: video games, music, movies, politics, personality typology, girls (like any guy in his early twenties), and of course poker.

I used to play poker when I was a teenager, albeit never with real money -- I stopped playing at some point, but still watched it on TV whenever it was on. Lately my interest was relit by the idea that I could play for a living, which is quite an appealing prospect as I'm at a point where I don't know where to go career-wise -- and professional poker seems in many respects the perfect career path for me.

So I've been skulking around the dark corners of our tubular interwebs, reading poker strategy articles and whatnot, and through a wonderful tool called Google came across this site, and plunged into reading the articles. I've thus far read all the mid-stack and short-stack strategy beginner articles (not the BSS ones -- I'm familiar with BSS already, and at any rate, I can't bankroll that, nor would I likely want to; shorter stacks, I think, have better earning potential), as well as the freeroll article and the SnG strategy ones.

Personally, I think I like Sit and Go's best as an alternative. The challenge in a SnG is placing into the money (e.g. at least Third), which is relatively easier to do as well as maintain process and avoid tilt with. And I've played about 20 practice hands thus far and gotten a 72% average profit margin, which is beautiful. My starting bankroll is pretty pathetic -- I only have about 60 bucks that I can actually commit to the game. So, if I go into a room with a 100% first bonus and I do fifty buy-ins, I can play $2 SnG's, and assuming I multi 6 tables and get a 50% profit margin (excluding rake), I can start out making $10 an hour.

Also, because one of my geeky interests is classification, here's my character stats sheet:

Personality type: ESFP ESE-Si 7w6 sp/so
Alignment: Chaotic Neutral (Good tendencies)
Political Ideology: Paleolibertarian
Nerd Rating: 7
Geek Rating: 5
Loves: Burn Notice. Bunnies (of all varieties).
Hates: Broccoli (seriously, ew.)
Lifetime Pedestrian Flip-Off Count: 14,205
Lifetime Pedestrians Run Over: 22,378 (GTA), 1 (RL)
Obsession: Editing posts.

Thanks. I aim to please. ;)

Anywhere that's US-legal. As I said, I was planning on finding a room that offered at least 100% sign-in bonus (I was going to do Carbon Poker, but unfortunately the bonuses and cash promotions on that site can't actually be used at the poker table -- you have to use them for sports betting and casino gambling).

Well thank you. :) I dabble a little bit in French, German and Portuguese as well -- I'm good with languages. My favourite is English though. It's so easy finding the exact right words to say what I mean in English, because it has such an extensive vocabulary (English actually has over a million words -- twice as many as German and four times as many as Spanish).

Also, an addendum to the above: I'm probably the only person you'll find with my personality profile on the internet. ESFP 7s are, effectively, typecast as 1) party animals, 2) junkies, or both. And I indeed have shades of both.

It was kind of a laugh actually. I was backing out and I bumped into this guy who turned out to be an off-duty cop. He let me off because I didn't hurt him, and he was technically jaywalking anyway.
