NL20 SH Q9 vs SB

For me Q9 is at the bottom of his standard open raising from blind. Calling i think is the worst option here since our hand can be easily dominated postflop and we could get into trouble. If SB opens tight we could fold or if he folds to many re-steals and has some big fold to cbet stats we can 3bet as a bluff.

Folding flop is way too weak. We have 2nd pair and I think he definitely can have bluffs still. Nothing from the info you provided indicated to me that his flop betting range in this situation has you completely crushed.

The 3/4 pot size bet seems standard to me.

So we are already way behind and we will face some problems on flop and further streets with domination etc.

Can you please tell my why preflop call is profitable here?

IMO that should be taken in consideration too, if you defend tight I think calling preflop is ok and on the flop definitely a call and pretty sure 80% of the time turn would be a c/f for him.

Not sure why you think he is using that standard range. The average player steals at least 35-40% here in my opinion. He is 33/18 over a low sample, and I think he should be looser here.

We have 42% equity here which makes it a very easy call. Our pot odds preflop are 33%.

Any stats on cbet Flop? Maybe if he has super low F cbet stat like 30-40%, then there could be an argument for folding if we know he only bets the strong hands in his range. But really, if you fold Q9 here u might as well not defend it preflop.

My BB fold to steal is 78.2 over last 14K hands, but we have small smaple with this player and I don't remember what image did I have at the table.

I did not write down cbet stats (this was anonimous table) but probalby sample was not telling much, so I did not write.

But once he call the flop and if he contineus any turn, we have to fold I guess? He would not double barrel on such scary board I guess.

I would assume that the avg player at nl20 doesnt doublebarrel gutshots so i think its fine to call f fold t.
