Hi Nitrub,
You can go broke with a set on any board - usually you'll be ahead, but even if you're faced with the unlikely flopped flush (117:1 chance of flopping a flush if i remember correctly), you have ~34% chance of hitting a full house or quads.

Nh, you're happy to get it in on the flop. Even if villain has an overpair like AA, you don't want him to get scared when another club comes on the turn. I would raise a little bit more on the flop tough.
