BU was a good reg (1k hands 22/19/6 3b)

Grabbed by Holdem Manager
NL Holdem $0.10(BB) Replayer
Hero ($11.24)
BB ($5.04)
UTG ($9.90)
UTG+1 ($10)
CO ($6.57)
BTN ($14.19)

Dealt to Hero K♣ K♦

fold, fold, CO raises to $0.25, BTN raises to $0.70, Hero raises to $2.20, BB calls $2.10, CO raises to $6.57 (AI), fold, Hero raises to $11.24 (AI), BB calls $2.84 (AI)

FLOP ($18.88) 9♥ T♦ 7♠

TURN ($18.88) 9♥ T♦ 7♠ 5♦

RIVER ($18.88) 9♥ T♦ 7♠ 5♦ K♠

Spoiler

BB shows J♣ A♣
(Pre 28%, Flop 28.3%, Turn 16.7%)

CO shows Q♠ Q♥
(Pre 18%, Flop 9.2%, Turn 4.8%)

Hero shows K♣ K♦
(Pre 54%, Flop 62.5%, Turn 78.6%)

Hero wins $17.63

My only question is what to do if BU flats or shoves CO 5b shove? CO might have bad hand but BU for sure doesn't have one. Do we still go broke if he calls/shoves?

What changes if we have QQ? Is going broke against 70bb deep player big mistake?

Hi Yax,

Preflop: Your play is perfectly fine and even if BTN were to shove (or call) I'd still be happy to get it in there.

And I think that even if we had QQ I would do the same although I'm not sure if we would cold 4-bet that preflop vs BTN.

Thank you. I struggle in spots like this (especially with JJ/QQ) and you help me a lot

You are welcome.

JJ would be too light to cold 4-bet in these spots unless you do it as a bluff. And even QQ is on the lighter side becuase people give you a lot of respect (for the cold 4-bet).
