I 3bet vs the BU raise from the BB according to the bronze big blind defence chart and of course contibet on the flop. I'm not too worried about the call on the flop seeing as he'd probably call most bets there with a marginal hand, maybe a weaker ace or draw. Not sure if this is the right play but I bet out on the turn with a gutshot and overcard. The raise has me concerned but I'm getting 7:1 on a call and i think i still have 7 outs. The river is a spade so both flush and straight draws are possible so i fold the ace high. I'm not sure why but I have a bad feeling about how I played this hand, any insight would be great.

I like your Perflop 3-because his agression in late position (if i understand stats correct ORL - open raise in late position?).

Flop i think is standart CB. On Turn things are getting worse, i don't think bet will force him out. He can call you with any hand that connects him (high WTS) and your hand is not good. I see only 4 (6 if we ignore hearts flushdraw) outs to your hand, that if you hit you can bet river and 2 that you can call after possible raise.

My line: 3-bet Preflop. Bet Flop. Check/fold Turn.

Hi MP87,

I like the hand as you played it very much. Folding on the river is always something that doesn't feel very good so don't worry about that.

The preflop and flopplay should be standard as you already noticed.
On the turn you are still often ahead as he is very showdownbound. Also a flushdraw was possible (and still is) so you bet for protection.
Calling the raise with your outs is as you said fine too.
On the river you can't do anything anymore.

Check/folding is ok as a beginner as this is no very clear situation and staying out of trouble if you don't know what to do is often better. But if you feel comfortable already this play is fine. (Maybe you pay an extra attation to these kind of hands and post them here too as this play in the wrong spots is very expensive.)
