Hand recorder used for this poker hand: PokerStrategy Elephant 0.58 by www.pokerstrategy.com.

Preflop: Hero is UTG+2 with Q♣, Q♠
UTG+1 raises, Hero 3-bets, 5 folds, SB calls, BB folds, UTG+1 calls.

Flop: (10.00 SB) 4♥, J♥, 2♥ (3 players)
SB checks, UTG+1 checks, Hero bets, SB folds, UTG+1 raises, Hero calls.

Turn: (7.00 BB) 5♣ (2 players)
UTG+1 bets, Hero calls.

River: (9.00 BB) K♥ (2 players)
UTG+1 bets, Hero folds, UTG+1 gets uncalled bet back..

Final Pot: 9.00 BB

UTG1 here seems to be a TAG type of player so i give him credit for a pretty strong hand here (99+, AJs+, KQs+) and im not concerned at all about the call from the SB as he was playing way to many hands. UTG1 didnt cap so i rule out AA/KK/AK so i figure on that flop i should be ahead. The reraise makes me think he has either already made a flush, has AQ/AJ with the ace of hearts perhaps or maybe even JJ? I decide to go in to calldown from here out unless an ace or heart comes but i dont think this was the right play. Should i have 3bet the flop or maybe raised the turn? thanks.

Hi MP87,

I like the thoughts you do here. A made flush is very unlikely but this flop is very scary to you so he will raise with a lot flushdraws. He knows that he is able to get you out with many better hands than his.
Because of that you should raise the turn again to maximize your value. If you get 3-bet you still have to calldown. Else you bet/call the river again.
If the turn is an ace, king or  you can only calldown. Folding is still a bit too weak as he might as well just raised a J without a . If two of the 3. possiblilities arrive on the turn and river you can fold. :)

alright thanks cirith
