Well i was playing a DON and had to poop halfway so i was sitting out for awhile.
A player instructed in chat to raise vs me fast, and to call and check back when im allin with my last bb.
I know this is a common tactic vs sitting out guys in DONs but can this be considered a case of collusion (to openly instruct the other players)

this is most certainly collusion and seeing as they openly admitted it in chat there isn't even a question of a doubt.

It doesn't sound in the spirit of fair play to me but I'm certainly no expert. Have you contacted the poke room's Customer Service about it? I don't know if they'd have a record of the chat box conversation though.

+1. Reason for your absence doesn't seem relevant to the issue at hand. I now have to consider an important moral issue about the ethics of exploiting sitting out while simultaneously trying to delete an unpleasant mental image. 
It's clearly collusion, and if the poker site is serious about fair play they will punish the player who did that, possibly reallocating the prize money for that tournament.
tommy: if it's done without discussion then it is not collision.
if it's done with open discussion in the chat then it is collision. I obviously don't know the policies of the poker room you play in, but in live poker this is an extremely serious thing and the consequences can go from a few minutes of ban to a permanent ban from the tournament (in WSOP as well, for example).
Not sure if thats collusion. Imagine yourself in 3rd guy position, you play DoN, one guy sit outs, retard starts screaming in chat to raise sitouts bb, you raise sitouts bb because its best move you can make. Did you collude?

collusion might not be the word, you are right. In any case, it is considered a violation of rules in any live casino I've played at.
I wouldn't be any sort of expert on this, but perhaps coercion rather than collusion maybe a better word?
I also think there is a level of silent implied collusion in these situations.
Just my opinion is all, I have no real basis to call it fact.

Actually, I didn't pursue this further. Lol. Don't think their support team keeps a chat history in their database and I didn't take a screenshot as well.
I agree from what some of you guys said that collusion must involve 2 or more people, but in my case it is only one person "attempting to collude" I guess. So perhaps it is violation of another rule but not necessarily collusion.
