villain is thus far 40/0 over 40 hands.

On the flop i check, but i'm not goin anywhere, even tough it's a very dry flop... Is this a good strategy, to keep some of his bluffs in?

What to do on this kind of flops in these situations in general? b/f maybe? b/c?

I opted to check, as it seemed to me this is a way ahead way behind scenario... I check ott as well, hoping for him to bluff, but he pots... What do i do?

I think you have to fold, he probably has you beat but with a vulnerable hand like an underful (66) or the straight. Bluffing here doesn't make a whole load of sense since he can't expect you to fold.

But is the plan of check/calling the flop to a moderate bet here ok? Do we get more value this way, or should i just play straightforward? How'd you play the flop if you were in my shoes?

I probably bet $7 on the flop.
