:club:What do you play?
Zoom 500!
Poker history?
started playing poker in Jan 2010 using the input pokerstrategy provided this time. Made my way up to NL200 on FullTilt in June 2011 and lost my whole bankroll there.
After a 1/2 year pokerbreak I saw pokerstars introducing Zoom-Poker and decided to take asome dollars from my tiny real-life bankroll to give it a try again.
Made my way up to 200 again and started playing NL500 zoom in January this year
Goals and aspirations for poker?
I see poker as a chance to building a solid bankroll giving me a lot of opportunities in life by still having fun doing it.
Since being a small guy I loved competing in any way. Playing games, doing sports (Athletics, Soccer, Table-Tennis), even in school^^. Whereas I've never done one of these things more intensive than it is usual for a hobby, Poker seems to be the kind of "sports" I have the motivation to put enough effort in to get really succesful.
edit: One thing I want to add here is, that I live like a student at the moment (not spending lots of money). I do not really need the money I made with poker so far, so having a projectable income of a couple of thousand dollars each month is not one of my goals. Far more I'm interested in beating the limits. I'm ready to move up and down the limits as soon as I think I have an edge on a certain table on a certain limit.
What do you struggle with?
I'm not a professional Poker player like many others here I think. I study Business Engineering in Karlsruhe but still return to my hometown at the weekends for playing table tennis and football matches. I'm not the type of guy giving up his studies or giving up his sports (especially the friends I made pracitising my sports).
So the thing I struggle the most with is to accomodate this number of things, having some kind of daily routine which makes learning and playing poker much easier.
Yesterday I found in the german ps.de forum the link to Schnitzelfisch's quick guide to skyrocketing poker and life productivity which I want to deal with the next day/weeks/months (The quick guide to skyrocketing your poker and life productivity - COMPLETED!)
:club:What do you want to get out of the bootcamp?
I have the motivation to put a lot of effort in my poker career. I want to learn to put this effort into the right things and not doing senseless stuff.
I don't want to say that I liked school a lot, but the system of having different subjects, each having a predefined course of instruction, having a strict timetable was a pretty good model to learning things fast (for me).
Taking all the different parts of poker and constructing a nice timetable to cope all of them would help me a lot and if I didn't get the bootcamp preview wrong) something like this is expecting me here.
Not related to any of your questions, bust just for further information:
I got a huge exam in mid of march and a smaller one in the end of march. I hope I'll find enough time to take part in as many bootcamp-activities as possible. But my real "learning" schedule will start in end of march after the exams. In February I had my first private coaching with "lnternet" and I'm convinced he can help me with a lot of poker related things. So, if you read this, I didn't forget you and will call you again;)
So far
Steffen
