river play is good nothing much to talk about but raise the flop buddy

when a very tight and passive guy donks into you ? .. a read i picked up after i had a look at my session was that he limps AKo so i thought now that AJ was also a part of his insanely small range.

You have small sample on him, so if you dont have more specific read what his donking range is (if it is somehow strong) I would raise this donk on flop, your hand needs protection. And I would not cap the river, as played he might have that KQ - you split or AK and you loose, so when he 3bets I would just call

u need to think of other hands also where he can donk with & by just calling ur missing value

can he donk flop/turn with AK i doubt so i dont mind caping river where we may be ahead against sets or 78s which is in his donk betting & 3 betting riv range

When weak passive player donks flop in such HU spots it can mean a lot but very very often its not really that strong; its often a weaker made hand,draw and since he limps preflop monsters are not overly likely...you on the other hand,you are pretty strong so I would feel very weak if not going for a value raise at some point...sure observing such players donking habbits is very rewarding and relatively easy to pick

Flop raise does nothing for protection since all hands you dont want him to call will definatelly call and if he has 34 you dont want him to fold!
Your raise would only be for value and in that case I would do it on turn as default...that would also be the standard move to call F/raise T. This way you also can achieve protection against some hand but since you have that blocker K protection is even not needed that much

River I would indeed just call.He is passive and weak but not braindead. He should realise that you have a straight there and Kx straight in fact so he would have to overplay 8x for you to make sense in a cap. With that in mind AK doesnt really look that impossible the way he played it and his weakish stats so yes call is the best play and expect a split most of the time. If he shows you AK then call flop/raise turn is even better in future

dawn u really think a tight passive player will donk flop & turn with AK ? if he does such thing he cant be a tight passive right ?

No I dont think he does because that is not a likely hand in his preflop range but the hand strength is exactly like the one that I would expect his donk to be like- prolly they are afraid of checkbacks or are afraid of cbet, in this case he may even look at his hand as a gutshot bluff which is also a part of his range I would expect...in any case TPSK is certainly a very strong hand against such assumption.

But appart from that we only have 34 hands on him so his stats will most likely change a bit and I would not be making any kind of conclutions just based on his stats at this point and would still play standard lines vs him.
