I've just created an account with Poker770 with the code. I'm waiting for my status to update for hours with no luck. Do i have to wait for Poker770 to give me free 10$ first?

It will probably take 24-48 hours to update.
Status points generally take the same amount of time to appear in your account.
By the way you must have signed up through the PokerStrategy link on this site
