I watched a video where they say that it is ok to cold call 3bet IP with suited connectors or PP, but I guess 33 is too low. The reason is that the 3better has a wide range, and gives up often on flop and sometimes we hit. I guess we also balance our cold calling range?
This situation shows me that I would lose a lot if I wouldnt hit set, because I would probably float flop and try to steal turn.
I am not sure if I understood it well. The video is called Gap the mind, but I am not 100 % sure.

Bet turn bigger?

Hey,

I think 33 is indeed too low. Apart from that, wide ranges => less implied odds. Depending how wide both their ranges are you can call hands like JTs (reasonably high connectors) and medium to high pairs like up to JJ, maybe QQ depending on your image as well.

The problem when cold calling a 3bet is that you don't get HU so just because PFR doesn't hit, there's another player that can hit. IP HU is the spot where you can call quite wide against a weak 3betting range, not when you won't even have absolute position (you are BB here).

As played preflop, postflop is definitely the best line you can take. Sizing is also good, it gets stacks in on river when needed. You are also not worried about suckouts because a very good equity hand like AA with diamonds usually bets turn itself.
