I don't like these 3bet cold calls when you are not closing the action, and when the pot is going to be multiway. You will almost never hit the topset, and your flush draws aren't that good in 4way pot.

Now if you decide to get involved in multiway pot with that hand, and you happen to flop the set when there is no straight possibility or an ace on the flop, you really have to get it in. MP is the only one that you are worried of, no one else has a set.

But if you are going to fold your bottom set if someone shows aggression, don't get into multiway pots with those small pairs.

I actually think that this type of hand is the only one you can cold call 3bets if you're not closing the action...

9977ds is pretty much a premium hand so you can't fold preflop (multiway shoves is also acceptable).

Flop you should donk to balance your range here. You would donk with a straight wrap so also donk this. Someone with AA is never cbetting this flop unless they have a piece of it as well so I wouldn't automatically assume the cbet is happening or that I'm happy checkraising either.

+1 always donk here. As played, I don't like the x/r option. I would rather prefer x/c, x/c again on blank turn and x/f river.

What you do if you donk bet the flop to 8$ and get a raise? Stackoff??

Why? We have deducted that it's unlikely anyone but the OR, who could have a million hands doesn't have a set... And i'm definetly getting called here by QJxx, AKQT, perhaps even JT98 type hands. If i were to donk, i'd have a tough time to decide the best play if i get raised; i could fold the best hand, or get the money in dead.

Also if i donk, and get called, there's basically no turn i like imo

There are plenty of turns you like if you donk $5 and get called, because villain would raise QJ so it's only the straight draws you care about at that point (AKT98) and even then there is a 25% chance you pick up a flush draw to go with your set so even if they do hit you can still be flipping on the turn.

So the reality is there are only 15 truly scary turn cards. Now if you bet the flop and get raised, well put villain on a raising range and act accordingly. If he is aggressive, go ahead and stack off, if he is a nit go ahead and fold.

Small flop donks induce semi bluff raises a lot and it makes your life a whole lot easier being able to get stacks in on the flop. If you checkraise the flop you can't fold to a shove so nothing changes if it's set over set, money is still going in 100 bets deep unless you have a read (after all villain is going to shove hands like AAT8 on the flop)
