I bet bigger flop and turn and jam river, you have such a nice hand you want to get value from it.

As played I think you can raise river to like 3k and never fold. I'm not sure. He plays it weirdly.

cheers Wohmfg I bet small on the flop to try and keep him in the hand or to induce a raise from him. Would i be better off betting about 40% pot for this purpose?. Also i think i should bet much bigger on the turn?

If you bet that small on the flop you are definitely going to keep him in the hand with small holdings, but you are not going to get value for your hand at all! It's much much better to bet bigger (at least half pot when you have flopped such a huge hand!) so that you get soo many more chips if he does call. Especially because he has 3bet pre, his range is narrowed and this board hits his range very very very nicely, he is going to call a big bet with almost anything in his 3betting range that has hit this board.

It's nearly ALWAYS better to value bet 40-70% (based on pot size, what villain's range is, what street you can get it in on etc.) when you think they are going to call with worse, instead of betting very small and trying to get calls from your villain's very small holdings.

The pot on the flop is 3.4k, and is only 8.6k by the end and you've pretty much flopped the nuts! This time he had a flopped straight but you want to be building a very big pot so you can get value from AK, AQ, KQ, flopped sets etc.

If he doesn't have anything he won't call your small bet either!
