NL5 AT middle pair IP

Flop: Don't like betting here. If board was JT6 maybe betting becomes more acceptable for thin value. But on JT8 you get checkraised way too often and even with JX I would not be thrilled with calling a raise and I would often check back JX. If we bet on JT6 I would not fold to a raise cos most people don't raise AJ KJ for thin value so you could argue that TX is almost the same as JX in terms of relative hand strength.

Turn sucks hard, 2 flush draws missed though. We have Ace of heart which reduces the likelihood of him having a busted draw himself. If you have a read that he floats wide here on the FLop (low fold to Flop cbet %), then you can call here because he is going to show up with many straight draws like AQ KQ 7X etc.

Turn bet would be a very bad idea. Don't bet for protection, that's not a good reason for betting. You bet if you think you can get value from his overall Turn calling range OR if you think you can bluff out enough better hands. You check if you cannot achieve either of those 2 objectives.
