villain is 80/4 over 40 hands... He never fold otf and ott so far... I probably should've raised bigger, yet the minraise hits me... Is this ever anything but the unlikely backdoor str8? Should i fold or call?

Against an ultra station that never folds I'd pot it on the flop.

On the river you need to be good less than 20% of the time so I think its a close one. Against someone who is this passive, it's perhaps a marginal fold.

Bet/folding the river seems absolutely fine. However it depends how much of a fish villain is.

I mean some fish don't even realise what they have isn't good when they raise the river. However I have definitely seen them min bet donk the river with the nuts in the past, so you have to believe them when they reraise.

Sometimes however against megafish I would check back 100% of scary rivers, even if it's a backdoor draw because of the number of times they just shove when I bet putting me in a horrible spot. I think all the value you will get from this guy is on the flop and turn.
