UTG 20/15/EP 1st 15%/foldto3bet 58%/3k hand

BB 25/19/3bet 9,3/sqz 11%/af 3,9/1,9k hand

My stats 25/21/3bet 8,9/foldto3bet 68%

Should I have 3bet preflop against UTG?

If I play like this what should I do? Backpush?

IPoker, $0.50/$1 No Limit Hold'em Cash, 6 Players
Poker Tools Powered By Holdem Manager - The Ultimate Poker Software Suite.

BB: $120.50 (120.5 bb)
UTG: $135.28 (135.3 bb)
MP: $141.80 (141.8 bb)
CO: $41.50 (41.5 bb)
BTN: $282 (282 bb)
Hero (SB): $245.92 (245.9 bb)

Preflop: Hero is SB with J J
UTG raises to $3, 3 folds, Hero calls $2.50, BB raises to $13, UTG folds, Hero ?

Hi.

Preflop: 3betting would be kind of thin and I wouldn't be thrilled to push here vs a tight player with JJ.

When an aggro BB squeezes us, I think we have an easy backraise at 100bb. Are we ever backraising here with some AA/KK/QQ combos? Are we backraising as a bluff?

If you want to have a bluffing range, then a backraise to 26$ makes more sense. If you think you are never bluffing here, then you can push directly.

I think the backraise here is profitable, but extremely marginal, given the extra 20bb you have.

hey mbml currently I do not have a flattingrange v utg/mp in sb, especially when BB is a reg.. So I would have 3bet/folded preflop. Is this fine? He can still call with worse obv. When I have reads that he knows I'm aggro and he plays back more then I'm 3bet/shipping.

Vs this UTG

1. He's tight
2. Tight TAGs tend to be weaker postflop, so even though our range is face-up I think we can play postflop comfortably
3. We are slightly deep
4. I don't like 3bet/folding too much
5. We can backraise over a squeeze from BB

I think I prefer the flat here. I agree that we should usually be 3betting most of our range but in this case I have a slight preference for calling here.
