Hey all,

I decided to start a blog of mine to keep track of my results and motivate myself and improve my poker skills faster. So i thought a blog would make poker funnier.

Poker

I started to play 1 year ago with the pokerstrategy.com 50$ on partypoker. I grinded my way up to NL10 where my heater finished or a downswing started, anyways I blew everything up in 1 day except for 20$.

So i only restarted to play in November 2012 after getting motivation from Jonathan Duhamel's poker book.

Started with my poor 20$ and flew really quickly up to NL25 on partypoker. After I heard all the trouble going on on partypoker because of the different lobby thing, I was scared for my bankroll so I withdrew everything in February.

It took a while before I could deposit because of financial difficulties with the withdrawal and everything so I kept a bit of my roll and deposited 600$ on Pokerstars 8 days ago.

In only these 8 days I made it up to 937,90$, running over EV but still... Players on Stars are terrible comparatively to Party IMO. Anyways, I'm back on track with a heater.

So that's it for my poker story, other from that I play a LAG style of 35/30/9 style. In the last few days I tried to tighten up a bit because there's too many calling stations on this limit.

I would like to post graphs but I don't know how to do. My red line goes up in the sky, blue line just a bit in the positive.

About me

19 years old from Quebec, Canada (only part of Canada where everybody speaks french).

I play hockey, soccer, and a ton of other sports.

I study in administration in CEGEP, it's between high school and university in our province.

Goals

I aim to be NL100 before the end of the year, which could be before if things continue to go that fast. (I don't like to have super precise goals, even if everybody says the opposite)

I also plan to post updates at least weekly with a lot of graphs, because it's the part that I like the best when I read other's blogs.

Thank you for reading, I don't think this blog will be very popular but I would be happy to be followed.

(If anybody could tell me how to post graphs it would be nice)

Played a bit today, wasn't really catching anything, made 2 or 3 noticeable mistakes, but I'm still up 30$ like a happy bastard

Here's the hand that made my profit:

PokerStars - $0.25 NL (6 max) - Holdem - 6 players
Hand converted by PokerTracker 4

BB: $46.96 (VPIP: 16.67, PFR: 10.78, 3Bet Preflop: 2.04, Hands: 103)
Hero (UTG): $39.21
MP: $25.00 (VPIP: 22.22, PFR: 5.56, 3Bet Preflop: 0.00, Hands: 18)
CO: $51.23 (VPIP: 20.87, PFR: 14.78, 3Bet Preflop: 8.00, Hands: 116)
BTN: $19.13 (VPIP: 40.32, PFR: 20.16, 3Bet Preflop: 3.77, Hands: 125)
SB: $30.84 (VPIP: 24.37, PFR: 17.65, 3Bet Preflop: 3.85, Hands: 123)

SB posts SB $0.10, BB posts BB $0.25

Pre Flop: (pot: $0.35) Hero has 9♠ 9♥

Hero raises to $0.75, fold, fold, fold, fold, BB raises to $2.50, Hero calls $1.75

Flop: ($5.10, 2 players) 6♣ 9♦ 3♥
BB bets $3.75, Hero raises to $9.00, BB calls $5.25

Turn: ($23.10, 2 players) 9♣
BB checks, Hero bets $9.25, BB calls $9.25

River: ($41.60, 2 players) T♣
BB checks, Hero bets $18.46 and is all-in, BB calls $18.46

And there's one hand I wasn't sure (1 of my noticeable mistakes):

Russian donk playing super aggro, pretty sure he was shoving 100% of his range there, still don't know about the call

4b more on the last one. The call is good, you could be running vs broadways, A9, K9, A7, QJ, etc. if you'd run vs QT you'd almost get the right odds to call, and he could be bluffing so I call, sure he has some Kx/Ax that made a pair, but it's a little part of his range. But here's the thing: if you make it like 6 pre, you can call any flop vs him profitably (he'd shove 9.5 into 17.25), without it being close, and I don't think you get more FE vs him or SB.

Bonne chance gros !
