utter maniac, needless to say anything else
pre:
I loosened up a bit pre, I wanted to get involved with the maniac guy as much as possible, hence the K6s open from the CO. I was thinking to open limp hand that have good implied odds suited hands gonnectors etc, because I had a station and an LPA behind and I could not really isolate the maniac, they just flatted all the time, and rarely raised pre. I wonder what you think about this ?
Anyway, when I flopped the second nuts I chose to slowplay because:
- SB has a low WTS which is a reliable stat in this case, he really folds quite often in MW pots when facing a raise plus a 3bet. I didnt want to represent a flush because he would have folded all the worse hands except some redraws which are J-Ax clubs providing that he 3bet pre. As he 3bet on the flop, I was pretty sure that he had at least an overpair. He would have never played this way with two overcards, and Tx is not in his pre 3bet range.
My plan was to keep them in the pot raising each other and delay any action til the river. I wasnt afraid from the turn to be checked around.
When SB bet /called the turn and donked the river, I was getting suspicious, because what could he have thought with this line ? It looked like that he had an overpair with a flushdraw on the turn and was thinking "yeah the maniac may really have the flush maybe but Imma call cause I have the redraw ", and completed on the river. I was completely sure that this wasnt a simple overpair cause he would have played x/c then on the river. So I decided to just flat the river as well, because it really looked like an AA or QQ maybe JJ with a club.
When he 3bet, I was really thinking to fold, even when getting 14:1, because Im still not sure if SB could play this way unless he has the nuts. But knowing that the other guy is a maniac, and this is clear for SB as well, I thought he might go a little bit more crazy and jam with a J or a Q high flush, so I called.
Im not sure that this was a good idea cause SB is a bit nitty and sometimes BB can have that ace as well, not to mention that he could have held the straight flush as well. But I would have torn my hair out if they had shown a weaker flush.
