3betting preflop may/may not be +ev. Calling has its disadvantages too (our calling range from sb vs a midstack is very well defined and easy to play against).
I think flatting is slightly better though.
1. Mss player is probably weak postflop and stronger preflop - which is why he chooses to play with a midstack
2. We can backraise over an aggro BB squeezer.

That would be an easy fold. You need both of them to be stackig off with ranges wide enough for tt to be a favourite. This means they must both have hands like 99 88 77 66 and AJ KQ AQ for a call here to be +EV . That is highly optimistic IMO.
