i need your help on a general problem i have in EP with top range hands.
The following szenario and hand happens quite often, i picked this hand as its a very good example of the overall flow.
Im playing nl2 zoom for volume and training ABC poker. At Zoom tables you face quite a lot of very tight players in the 5/5 to 10/10 range and i already adjusted my 3betting range vs those players ep raises.
Right now im struggling a bit to narrow my 4bet calling range.
The majority of those hands are played vs 20-60hand data villians.
He is 7/3/1.5 but with only 30 hands i assume hes probably 10-15/5-10 like so many rocks there.
PF:
called 4bet here because not enough hands to really know if he only plays premium hands and i have ~48% equity vs JJ+, AQs+, AKo and we are both deep, if i would adjust his range a bit more and take out JJ from his 4bet range im still at 40% and calling the 4bet is for 30% potodds.
Flop:
Here im not sure anymore if the call made any sense, but here is what i thought: Without AJ in his range i assumed that AA and KK had me beat while i beat AKo/AKs/AQs/AQo making it 2 to 4 hands.
When i called i planed to fold to any A or K on turn/river and call down anything else.
Turn:
obvious fold as now im beat by AK/AA/KK and all i beat is AQ.
Now the big question:
Could i have gotten away from this before?
#1 fold to pf 4bet from an assumed very tight player in UTG?
#2 3bet smaller here like 2x or 2.5x to get a cheaper flop if he 4bets?
#3 im quite sure cold calling is equally as bad as folding the hand right away
