Preflop: Hero is MP3 with K♥, Q♣

Turn: ($3.62 - 72.40 bb) Q♠ (2 Players)
UTG2 checks, Hero bets $2.50, UTG2 raises for $9.09, Hero folds, UTG2 gets uncalled back ($6.59)

-----

UTG2 was 27/9/8 over 82. Agg% - 12.
MP2 was 22/0/0 over 51.

PREFLOP
It's a very questionable squeeze.
My reasoning was that I wanted to isolate UTG2 to play heads up with deepstacks.
Didn't want to just call as that would leave me open to squeezes from other players behind me who were capable of doing that.

FLOP
Value betting my TP.
Plan was to b/f.

TURN
I improve so value bet again. When he raises I seriously considered a call but opted to fold like a nit.
He always ships KK-JJ. I figure it's possible he does this with AK/AA as well.

Board: KdJc4sQs
Equity Win Tie
MP2 63.45% 63.45% 0.00% { KhQc }
MP3 36.55% 36.55% 0.00% { TT+, AKs, AKo }

So my fold is a mistake or am I being too optimistic when estimating his range (he is kind of very passive)?

Hello,

I prefer folding preflop against a rather passive guy who open raises at UTG.

As played, what hands are you planning to take value from on the flop here?

On the turn I like betting here and when he raises I think folding is fine.
I doubt he is going to raise here AK/AA and AA should be a reraise preflop.

Best,
Plamen

Hi kymupa

Thanks for the evaluation!

I agree #1 fold preflop. I was trying too much to get into pots with a fish.
#2 I agree that checking is probably the best as there are no worse hands that could call except QQ. The plan in this case would be to just try to check it down? And maybe call 1 bet on safe turn/river or folding all the way to the river?

Thanks again for the help.
Dawidas

EDIT: I'm a bit confused how should I refer to you - Plamen or kymupa? :f_biggrin:
