Pre Flop: (pot: 1.5 BB) Hero has J♠ J♥

fold, fold, fold, fold, fold, fold, Hero raises to 3 BB, SB raises to 42 BB and is all-in, fold, Hero calls 39 BB

Flop: (85 BB, 2 players) 4♦ K♣ 6♠

Turn: (85 BB, 2 players) 6♥

River: (85 BB, 2 players) 7♦

Spoiler

SB shows Q♥ K♦ (Two Pair, Kings and Sixes) (Pre 44%, Flop 91%, Turn 95%)
Hero shows J♠ J♥ (Two Pair, Jacks and Sixes) (Pre 56%, Flop 9%, Turn 5%)
SB wins 82 BB

Normally, I fold here. Villain is unknown with a small stack, making me think he's bad... I don't think people generally act this way with AA or KK, I'm thinking the're more afraid people will fold to all ins. I called thinking he'd do this with AK, AQ, QQ and maybe pairs like 8+. Also other hands like KQs,
QJs, maybe KJs. I'm ahead of all those hands.

Or should this just be an auto fold to an unkown? LOL

Hi Edukator,

Preflop: you need close to 50% equity to make the call.

Equity Win Tie
MP2 47.07% 46.21% 0.86% 88+, AQs+, KQs, AQo+
MP3 52.93% 52.07% 0.86% JhJs

That's given the range you gave him. So it's a bit better than break even.

This is a spot of high variance (shorter term) and you rarely have a lot of equity advantage, however I don't think it's a mistake to call given his stack size and positions.
