What I want to have in the end of this is a measurable goals and targets.
I understand how my sport/gym goals work, so I'll try to
have some parallels between that and poker.
I'm attending the a gym 4-5 times per week, I have a specific plan there.
I have a target written down on a list of paper for the next gym day.
There is also some older targets and my progress along the way.
Before the gym, when I'm at home, I visualize doing a bench press.
Of course I'll prepare all the needed stuff for my training.
(Water, shake, belt, program, last meal 1-2 hrs before gym, etc.)
While going to the gym I'll motivate myself,
while listening to mp3 tracks and thinking that
I'll do every set with all my heart.
When I'm there I'll start with warming up and
following through with my game plan,
full concentration, discipline, because
anything less than that won't work for a good gym session.
After the training I have new targets.
Even If I miss some shots (sets), then I can still aim for
the same target and I know it will get better,
because I'm getting physically stronger anyway.
I have to relax a day or two as well to let my body rest.
Then everything starts from the start.
Oh, yes ... nutrition is very important - it's my fuel.
So far I see pretty many spot where I have very close spots for poker as well,
but I'll add that next time. I'll compare both - poker and gym.
