Skrill verification process (7 days & nothing)

Hi PokerStrategy,

I signed up to Skrill and applied for the Pre Paid MasterCard so that I can withdraw funds faster from Stars. I make alot of cashouts as a regular user on Stars and the PrePaid card seems great.

One problem, I uploaded £10 to pay for the card and then sent all the required information to verify my identity & even requested a letter through the post which I received a few days ago to verify my address.

The site says it takes 24-48 hours to verify your ID and documents.

Mine has been exactly 7 days (168 hours...) Without a single email about my process...

I have emailed support after 2 days & heard nothing back I then emailed 2 days later again and still nothing, no reply.

Is it usual to wait this long? I have enclosed my Skrill ID within my profile if any reps see this post.

Thank you for providing that email HollyMichelle I got quicker responses :)

However I have had to cancel my application for the Mastercard.

Before I applied I emailed support asking will accept my out of date passport along side me sending my birth certificate and verifying my address as a form or valid Identification and got an email back saying yes this was fine, So I went ahead and ordered a letter through the post to verify my address and then uploaded some utility bills with my passport and birth certificate and finally the £10 fee for the card then only be told they wont accept my expired passport..

Just a waste of time which is why I checked before I signed up if my passport would be Ok.

Do you know now if I will receive a refund of the Card fee I applied for, its not much money but would rather not pay for something I can not now get until in the future when I re new my passport (no drivers licence either).

Hey Michelle even tho I could not verify my identity to get the pre paid MasterCard due to my expired passport can I still use Skrill to withdraw from PokerStars and then withdraw to my bank account? For faster withdrawal. I mean I have verified my address, and verified my bank account but I just don't want to deposit into Skrill via Stars to be sent an email saying my Skrill account is locked and money held until I supply a valid passport. Hmm actually typing this makes me think its not even worth risking it to save a few days on withdrawal.

Hey,

Have you ever verified your identity with Skrill before? If you've never had any issues then I don't forsee any problems. But it is probably best to double check this with their support channel again :)
