NL $0.02/$0.04 isn't a SSS table, move up to $0.05/$0.10. I advice you to read this article: http://www.pokerstrategy.com/strategy/no-limit/825/1/
And all other articles. But lets analyze the hand:
2/3 or even a potsize bet after the flop. Checking was a bad move. Lets see what judges advice.
thanks i moved upto 0.5/0.10 a few hands after this as i was getting good hands and not really seeing a beneficial pot for this. il check out the articles again
As already stated, 40BB stack is way to much for a short stack, but you didn't missplayed that hand, a check-raise on the flop is fine with two pair.
