MP is a complete unknown, BU is 21/21 over 38 hands and 3bets 23%.

Poker Stars, $0.10/$0.25 No Limit Hold'em Cash, 6 Players
Poker Tools Powered By Holdem Manager - The Ultimate Poker Software Suite.

BTN: $83 (332 bb)
SB: $31.30 (125.2 bb)
BB: $25 (100 bb)
Hero (UTG): $28.58 (114.3 bb)
MP: $18.50 (74 bb)
CO: $25.32 (101.3 bb)

Preflop: Hero is UTG with AK / QQ
Hero raises to $0.75, MP calls $0.75, CO folds, BTN raises to $2.25, 2 folds, Hero???

Bit of a small squeeze from BU, but same problem as my other hands, dead money in the pot but if I 4bet I don’t think I’m doing well vs any stacking off range. At the same time calling sucks again and I think there’s too much dead money to just fold. is 4bet/fold an option? Ty.

hi.

You must look at the entire hand as a whole, not just whether your equity is >50% vs villain's 5b range.

If he folds, you win the dead money. So question is whether you win the dead money often enough to justify the play. You also need to take into account postflop play (it's often going to be multiway cos of the fish) if you do choose to call.

MP is a fish so i'll flat AKs and QQ here. AKo plays more poorly so I prefer to 4b. As for whether to 4b/fold or 4b/call, count your pot odds here. Compare it to your pot equity. If your equity is higher than pot odds, you are committed and you should 4b/call.

Why don't you try calculating it out?
