Lucky session

Today i had a really great session. I got lots of AA, KK, JJ and AK. I kinda was like wow AA again. In 403 hands i had 5 times AA, 5 times AK, 3 times KK, 2 times QQ and 4 times JJ. So it was a nice upswing session.

Just because it doesn't happen every day. Flopped Quads with QQ. I decide to slowplay here because of his small reststack. I try to give him a chance to pick up something and if he does a bet on turn and river is enough to get him all in. Against a bigger stack i would have bet right away.

I'm not really sure how to play this. I think AQs may be to weak to 3bet here, but seemed to strong to fold it. So i called, though i hate calling in MP...

Wow the session today was even better than yesterday. I got good cards again and was payed of nicely. Sometimes i was a little bit lucky, but that's poker The biggest loss was 35BB and the biggest win was 200BB.

I decide to squeeze here. I think this is not the best squeeze Spot, because the villains seem to be quite loose and one of them will often call. But i think with AQo it's a value raise here.

Nice Action Preflop. UTG Raise, MP Coldcall and i'm 3betting with AKo. SB wakes up with a hand and 4bets.
Let's have a look at the numbers.

If i push and i give me no FE (he has only a quite small reststack), than i can win $10.6 and have to invest another $6.5. That means i need more than 61% Equity. It is very unlikely that i got this much Equity against his range, so pushing here was a mistake.
Is this reasoning right?

Edit: I think i made a mistake here. If i push my share of the $17.1 is $6.5. So i need 38% Equity. So this push is a marginal one against QQ+, AK (38.8%) and wrong against QQ+ (30.8%). Against a quite loose range of TT+, AQs+, AKo (42.8%) it would be good. So i think pushing here may be ok. But folding is the safer thing to do.

I think squeeze in these limits will rarely get both of your opponets to fold, but it was a nice try, because as we saw none of them had a hand which they should have called with. But it just goes to prove that in these limits squeeze play may be a bit too advanced, in my opinion. But like you said it was a very good value raise.

Another losing session

This session was played on 08/29/08. I was to busy to review it yet. I was a bit tired but played some hands anyway. Maybe this wasn't to good for my concentration. The biggest pot lost was a hand were i made Trips on the river, but villain had made his flush on the turn.
I had a quite small VPIP/PFR in this session14/10. My average is 17/15. So i didn't have that much hands that i could play and the ones i played i lost.

You are right. Don't really know why i betted there. It totally makes no sense at all.

Trying to play ABC poker

This session i tried to focus on just playing ABC poker and not to move or make a bad call or something. Anyway i made two double barrel decisions that i'm not sure of and that did cost me some money. There were not that much big pots in this session. There was a $8 pot i won and lots of medium pots $2 - $3 that i lost or were i had to give up the hand. So in this session i lost $7 again.

I definitely have to think more about the range of hands my opponent could have and how to ply best against his range!

Ok to 3bet here should be mandatory. But the BB coldcalls the 3bet and seems not to be to splashy. What could his range be? JJ, QQ and AK i think. Mabe TT. I think he would 4bet KK, AA. What do you think his range could be here?

I think to cbet here is ok. It is possible that he has a queen but i think that is not to often the case.

I played this session on 09/04/08. I think i was again to aggressiv in this session. E.g. i cbetted to much against calling stations. This is a big leak. I have to stop bluffing against players that will call anyway! Additionally i lost two big hands. I'm not really sure if i played them right.

Trying to stop leaking

I played this session on 09/05/08. Before i played this session i thought a lot about why i lost that much money in my last sessions and decided to play a lot less aggressiv. I played quite tight. I didn't try to steal with marginal hands agains calling stations. I didn't bluff cbet against calling staions. I tried to pick better spots for bluff cbets and tried to make them only on the right boards agains the right opponents. And it somehow worked. I even flopped Quads and got payed with them.
