Heya! My name is Alexei and I am from Finland. I found poker few years ago and been playing it once in a while, but nothing too serious. I am 20 yo and I just got out from army. I used to play cash/sng/dons but right now I am focusing on cash games. About a year ago I had ~1.8k$ roll, but I spent most of it to buy new PC as my old one was really just a piece of garbage.
Just before going to army I got excited about PLO and played it a little bit. Even though it was full of fishy games I didnt really find it to be my game. I didnt felt comfotable playing it like I do when playing NLHE, because I lack so much knowledge about PLO. I was supposed to start studying about it more after I get out of army, but now I decided to keep on going with NLHE. One reason being that I dont have much of a roll right now (no I didnt lost that in PLO ♦), but I am also scared of swings in PLO, especially being breakeven/slight winner the swings might get enormous. Probably will switch to PLO at some point, but not now, there is a lot of work to be done before I can do that.
Anyway, during my last long vacation from army I was itching to play poker after a long break, so I deposited 280€. Its not much, but I knew I will get more within a few weeks which I can deposit so it wasnt that risky. During that vacation everything went better than expected and I almost doubled that roll by playing NL20 (with rakeback included). Run good, eh. Graph also includes 1k hands played today.

After that I went back to army and I just couldnt wait to get out of there to start playing poker.
So here I am right now. I decided to start a blog and I hope it helps me to progress as a poker player. I will be updating it at least once a week with graphs, BR amount and with other goal progression, but I also like to talk about poker stuff so it will be probably more frequent.
When I played poker before army, I wasnt productive, I didnt grind much, I didnt study almost at all so I look to change those. Honestly, being somewhere in a hole in -30c in middle of a forest guarding from imaginary opponents and fighting against sleepiness, it really makes you appreciate life's little things such as a nice shower, a bed to sleep in, warmth etc. I also read Arnold Schwartznegger's biography while in army and it really motivated me to be productive. He really worked hard to become succesful.
Productivity doesnt just come, at least not for me, so I will watch Schnitzelfisch's videos how to increase it and stop wasting my time by surfing and playing games for many hours a day.
Goals till July 20th:
:spade:Watch at least 5 videos a week about poker related stuff
:heart:Play at least for 6 hours 6 days a week
:diamond:Go to gym 5 days a week for 1 hour a day.
:club:Work on your productivity, this one is hard to track but I will try to be honest with myself. I will cut time used doing pointless stuff and instead try to review some hands and work on my game.
Bankroll: 486€
Some random army pics taken on my shitty phone, nothing too interesting as it was prohibited to take pictures of the interesting stuff.
