Turn is fine to check. T:h not a good barrel card.

Check fold river is fine. You can't really do anything about it. If he does bluff it may often be with something like AJ/AQ which beats you anyway.

The main cause of this spot is the disadvantage of being OOP, not necessarily anything that can be done. However, A8s is not a mandatory open from MP, so if you find you are getting into a lot of these spots then perhaps tighten up your MP opening range.

I think A8s at this limit zoom MP is like default, because they give lot of credit and fold a lot. So I think even by giving up postflop I will make profit. And once they call - they call with decent hands which adds more implied odds when I hit flush.

Nothing wrong with opening this hand.

But if you are repeatedly getting into tough spots with it and feel you are not making the best of it, might be a good reason to reconsider opening it.

If you have a decent sample size of hands check your suited Ax from UTG and MP and see if they are making you profit. Might be interesting just to check.
