When the action gets to you it's something like $42 to win around $105 so it's a very marginal play. Your gutshot may or may not be good. If you reshove you might just get a straight wrap to fold (since they have to be worried about the flush draw taking a lot of their outs away).

Of course if you do make a marginal call it's not closing the action and anyone else reraising here makes your initial call retrospectively incorrect (because now you have to call a reraise and put more money in while behind).

Personally the shortstack is shoving 2 pair or any draw and we can't really put MP on a set just because he led out half the pot...

I think you have to call and call the reshove. I prefer this to shipping myself as having a third player in the hand can only help our equity.

If you shove you never get there all-in ahead (unless CO has some kind of wrap)
So it comes if you want to gamble.

Even 5-way you generally have 32-35% equity, so if you want to isolate Co then shove should better option than calling.

As alraedy mentioned the call alone is very marginal.
But there are these players behind you. A call from them won't boost your equity 3handed over 33% or 4handed over 25%.
But when another player has a good hand, he will put even more chips in than a simple call (raise immediately or bet on later streets). And vs. these additional bets/raises you will nearly never be a favourite.

to summarise:
The call alone is plus/minus EV and additional actions after you will surely be minus EV.

So I think this nitty fold is the best.

Anyway... what about some spew: 3bet preflop?
Or are the stacks too small and the hand to worse to risk a 4bet from some AA**?

When you have a nfd, you want to have as many players in the pot as possible. Your equity won't change, but pot odds will. With 35% equity it's not good in HU pot, but a good one in 4way pot.

For that reason raise at any point is bad.
