Recording Play

Hey David,

I've found 60 that claim to be Free on Download.com but sadly the link doesn't work. Just type "Screen Capture" in the search and then select video Capture & Free on the left panel.

HyperCam is rated #4 in their Screen Capture Software and completely free so maybe give that one a whirl, alot of them say Free but are actually Free Trials, but You could probably get a few months worth of trials going too, some of them are quite cheap for a license too. The ones that do offer Free trials will continue to work but give a watermark on the finished product, if this isn't a problem you could continue using one of the pro ones

I wanted to do the same. Found a prog, but can not remember name and I am on phone right now.

Recording and everything was fine, but 50 min footage ended about around 30gb then used some movie editor to make file size decent, but quality ended up so bad that could not make out cards even.

If u figure out good prog and way to record let us know too..

If it's free you need, Camstudio is by far the best afaik.

I spent about an hour trying to use camstudio and finding various converters and it did not work for me. The one that I have had the best luck with and seems to work really well is debut video capture. http://en.softonic.com/s/screen-recorder-mp4

Just make sure that you dont install all the junk that comes with it.

http://obsproject.com/ OBS is far superior to posted software, just use to capture your screen instead of broadcasting it. and its completely freeware(maybe even open-source)

But guys can u explain how to keep file size small after recording?
