Hey AlxAndrew!

Great to see you posting, and an excellent choice to post your hands for evaluation :)

Hopefully we'll see you around more!

I moved this to the NL2-NL10 board, where it's more appropriate.

As far as the hand is concerned, this looks like a classic example of overplaying TPTK. Unless you know he is capable of raising with worse Ax here, it's an easy fold on the turn. However, you shouldn't be raising the turn in the first place.

Just call the turn imo and evaluate the river. By raising you largely isolate yourself against a range that has you crushed. If you're lucky he calls with KQdd or AQ or something, but that's probably very optimistic.

Also realize that while a straight is very unlikely, sets make up a huge part of his range after he 3bets the turn imo, and he might even have some two pairs in there if he raises suited Ax from UTG.

I'd say preflop and flop is perfectly fine though :)

Kind regards,
Tino

Hey A,

Usually you can 3bet preflop for value here.

Turn raise is kind of ilogical. You call preflop to keep his range wider and let him bluff postflop and now you raise with your hand to make him fold his bluffs and weaker value bets? Clear turn call and river calls, raising turn, especially minraising makes no sense. If you know he has very big WTSD then raise big on the turn and shove the river.
