The only hand I thought could beat me was JJ. He had 88, I didn't put 88 in his range because he called a 3-bet preflop.

Hey Theusualsuspect47,

Preflop is ok. Flatting may potentially be slightly better opener looks tight and is in MP.

Would cbet flop since you have so much equity. You are even a favourite vs something like QQ.

Turn raise is fine

River donk shove form opponent is really suspect. He doesn't do this with a J, and he doesn't do it with the Qs. He's repping a super narrow range, but unless he's on some crazy stony cold bluff he's going to have a boat here. Some guys will call 3bet with any PP.

But does a player with his stats (12/8) generally call a 3-bet with pocket pairs?

Remember that you have only 49 hands on villain; sample is very small.

I've been on 2 tables and had a huge range of stats over 50 hands. One was around 4/4 and the other 35/30 for example.

Also, if you wish for a Hand Judge to take another look, you need to press the button on the bottom right of this thread, next to post reply. You can also select a checkbox when you're creating the post to advise another look :)

I've pressed it for you this time though ;)

Sometimes yes. Generally no.

Another question to ask is, if he doesn't call preflop with PP's, what exactly is he shoving the river with?
