I am usually betting here OTT, and against this guy I do think betting is slightly better. Mostly because his fold to cbet flop (although low sample) is on the higher side which makes his flop callingrange stronger. But while playing the hand I just felt like a check would be better option in the current metagame, with me 3betting him a ton.
So a few questions about the hand:
1. Betting > checking OTT?
We do not want him to potcontrol a hand like A9s, T9s, 98s, 88, TT-JJ and lose the opportunity to stack him. But on the other hand he might not even call down with all of those hands, and he does have a few floats in his range too (in this particular hand my impression was more than usual).
2. When checking c/jam or c/call?
C/jam is nice if we think he bets a very depolarised range OTT, which he may now call off as opposed to bet and check back OTR. c/call on the other hand lets him bet his bluffs which he may also bet OTR but would obv fold to a raise.
