hi,

quite easy flop fold... I would 3bet such a guy oop that will be agressive on me with such a hand tough... While your hand is great, and is very playable, it doesn't really have an equity advantage vs many hands so i prefer a call here preflop.

Yeah. You have a hand that plays well on a lot of flops. The problem is, that your hand is only 8 high at the moment. So even if your opponent has a hand like 9xxx, it's theoretically ahead of you preflop.

It's a good hand to 3bet when you can win with it in a lot of ways (opponents will fold to your bet, they are passive so they will only raise you with the nuts, you have some reads on them etc...) Here you say your opponent kept on jamming, which i assume means he was agressive. So there's very little hope of him folding to a bet of yours, and you essentially have 8 high vs him.

Vs such an opponent it would be much better to 3bet a hand like AKxx, preferebly AAxx, KKxx, and AKQJ type hands, as those hands flop really strong and nutty.

3betting this hand isn't bad, and against some opponents is a must (against regulars when you are IP vs them, as you can use position to your advantage, rep AAxx on A high boards, get them to raise you light on low boards which you will hit with this hand etc...), but vs agressive fish is bad.

Don't worry much about it tough, this is a mistake some regs make at much higher limits as well but i hope i clarified my thoughts here.
