BTN: $35.64
Hero (SB): $25.10
BB: $42.61 - unknown
UTG: $26.08
MP: $47.90
CO: $21.41

Pre Flop: ($0.35) Hero is SB with 7  J :club:
4 folds, Hero raises to $0.75, BB calls $0.50

Flop: ($1.50) 7 :diamond: J :spade: 2 :spade: (2 players)
Hero bets $1, BB raises to $3, Hero calls $2

Turn: ($7.50) A :spade: (2 players)
Hero checks, BB bets $4, Hero calls $4

River: ($15.50) 4 :club: (2 players)
Hero checks, BB bets $10.75, Hero folds

I'm a bit lost on flop and turn. Should I be defending vs possible draws with a re-raise on flop? My thinking at the time was just to call down and get value from possible bluffs, draws, weaker hands.

Not sure why I called the turn, hoped to get free card on river maybe.

Hey immot,

Given the board texture likely fine to put in a 3bet on flop. Also fine to c/r flop especially if opponent has high bet-vs-missed-cbet stat.

A:s is really bad card since it completes flush-draw + stuff like AJ. Also gives opponent additional equity with any spades. Probably fine to check/fold turn although you'd be check/calling on good cards.

River c/f is fine.
