I prefer the check/raise. Cause I expect he cbets that dry board and I can rep well KJ, KK, JJ. Sometimes he can fold flop. If not, we still have 11 outs to win...

Hi,

C/rai is fine that board, since I would never lead being oop.
Postflop you don´t have to pot turn and river to get AA** fold. Making it 2$ on the turn and 5$ on the river seems as scary as potting turn and potting river

best regards,

"It depends"

If villain is loose with his 3 bets preflop then he probably cbets a lot (even with total air) so against a player like that checkraising is fine.

However against a tighter player I check/call the flop because they are less likely to cbet flops like this unless they have something ( so you are just isolating yourself against strong hands and not getting him to fold marginal hands that much).

Other than that you played it fine (I would also bluff full pot here because this is what I would do with the nuts. Some people often realise when you bet less you don't have the nuts and it's more likely to be a bluff).
