Hello!

My Name is Marc and this is my first blog i believe at the English section. Used to be only active at the Dutch section, but want to broaden my horizon. And alot of players here are alot more motivated it seems and that's also what i need.

Little bit about my Pokerhistory: Been playing for a few years now, but i'm a notorious spewmonkey from time to time, that stops me from moving up above NL100. Currently at NL50 rebuilding my roll. As i also need to cashout from time to time to pay the rent.

As you can see, i got a 'nice' purple avatar, i'd rather have my blue coach avatar but the purple one is 'stronger' or something. :(

Since a week i really noticed i had to change my mindset and approach towards poker. I used to just click away, sitting on the couch with a laptop and having the tv on and whatever, Totally unfocused. Nowadays i don't play on my laptop anymore and just on my desktop.

Here's a graph of my NL50 adventure since june, it's combined laptop/desktop play still, but u can definitely see where i played like a retard on my laptop.(21k mark as example). But still with the FPS plays, i have a 8bb winrate, so it's way higher without FPS.

Spoiler

Goals this month:
:heart:If possible move back to NL100, depends on how much i play really and the nice weather.

Goals August:
:diamond:NL100
:diamond:50k Hands
:diamond:NO FPS.

I'm in a few dutch skypegroups, but there isn't really that much strategy talk, so if someone has a good skypegroup, i'd really like to know. I think i can add value to it aswell.

Here's a nice Motivational AMV, i used to like watching these back in the day, and decided to watch it again. and it's DRAGONBALL Z, FTW.

So before my last session i looked up some strategy and found some stuff about how winrates of Good/crushing regs also depends on how good they exploit the fish. Everybody knows how to play +EV against them, but MaxEV they don't.
So i thought alot further in the spots vs fish than i usually do.

Made 1 bluffshove in the blinds at~h380 with 66, where the aggro reg needed to have AA, bit unlucky timing.

Spot i ment, normally i would just bet big here, but wouldn't really think about overshoving as i did. he almost always has Qx here and guess this big fish wouldn't fold it.

Nice!

I played a bit tonight, NL100 and some NL50 combined, saw some fish at NL100. Didn't go as planned an ran as shit as i usually do at NL100. This superaggro reg with cbets of 90/70/60 kept hitting vs me when i tried to outplay him and he floats with random crap and hits his miracle card etc.
And bluffs running into nutted ranges that would never fold.

Hand vs 70/15 guy. I'd reckon he would have alot of draws on this board and he woul call most of them if i pushed, unlucky turncard.

Turned last nights losses back around, played pretty good i guess. And i could win 'some' showdowns lol, see blueline.

Biggest losing hand, in hindsight i shouldn't even barreled this board. during play i thought the best hand he could really have was AQ or AJ and AJ should fold after 3 barrels, but he would've 3bet quite some combo's of AJ pre already. Furthermore the board isn't good for barreling really.

1 of my nittier folds, but i think it's a good one. I think he wouldn't really bluff me here, as i have so many Ax in my range, river is the worst possible bluffcard for him so i guess its for value.

Yea thought the same with the 78s hand, as there aren't any possible overcards that i could barrel.

Played another session at NL100, it went GOOD till halfway, then i got sloppy.

The drop is where i couldnt fold my overpocket vs a fish 200bb deep, im such a noob.
The tables were superfishy, but couldn't hit anything, hence the dropping redline constantly afterwards.

Knew it was time for dinner after this hand, such a bad rivercall. He almost always has it here after this line, didn't expect AJ tho, atleast AQ.

This hand made me Lol, or the reaction of the shitty nitreg, 2% 3bet, cbet of 40%. His reaction was: LOL WTF, 'You call 3bet', 'LOL nl100 reg', apparentely he thinks KK is a no brainer allin pre. well not vs him, few hands later he started limping and doing some weird stuff.
Might needed to fold river tho, he's never bluffing here.

about the last hand, wouldn't he play QQ the same? In which case playing it like you did is fine.

2% 3bet is probably QQ+ AK... and probably not position dependent (bad reg gonna bad reg)

but he probably wouldn't bet AK on the river but could value bet QQ although you could expect possibly a slightly smaller bet. Very close IMO.

Yea he would probably play QQ exactly the same, if he 3bets it. Openfolding here would've been funny as hell tho. But folding here would be so shit, means i'm setmining with KK vs him lol.

It's definitely not a raise tho on the river.
