Good luck, seems like so many guys purchasing these courses/making blogs nowadays. Gordon is pretty inspiring .. and pretty wealthy, no doubt.

I've been playing and doing some homeworks, but unfortunately the playing part is not going so good. I run very bad and also still make some big mistakes. Going to focus more on the homeworks now, because they are very important and I still need to rewatch all the videos in order to grasp the concepts and apply them properly.

The last homework I did was pretty awesome and I would say I fixed a big leak in my game. I was calling 3-bets more than I should against rather tight ranges. Visualising ranges on Equilab is awesome and helps a lot!

Here are 20 hands where I defended 3-bets and the reasoning behind it:

1) http://weaktight.com/5981239 - Standart R/C with T9s against 33% 3-bet
2) http://weaktight.com/5981246 - Against such a small 3-bet and also his low c-bet of 44% I think its ok to defend T7s in position here.
3) http://weaktight.com/5981256 - Very small 3bet -> rly good odds + position, his c-bet is only 50% so I'm not folding much here
4) http://weaktight.com/5981262 - T9o against 33% 3-bet and somewhat agressive postflop opponent might be close, but still we are in position so I guess it cant be that bad.
5) http://weaktight.com/5981270 - Against 44% 3-bet and this size I'm not folding anything, especialyl when his c-bet is only 50%!
6) http://weaktight.com/5981273 - His 3-bet range was very tight, but when I have position and his size is so small, its very hard for me to fold KTo, but on the other hand my hand is so dominated that It might not be that bad after all..
7) http://weaktight.com/5981298 - QTs against 29% 3-bet = easy call
8) http://weaktight.com/5981303 - Q8s against 22% 3-bet is probably a fold, combined with 71% c-bet.
9) http://weaktight.com/5981306 - I'm defending any two against min. 3bet!
10) http://weaktight.com/5981307 - 98s against 33% 3-bet, easy defend.
11) http://weaktight.com/5981314 - KTo easy defedn against 33% 3-bet.
12) http://weaktight.com/5981317 - QTs easy against 36% 3-bet.
13) http://weaktight.com/5981318 - А9s agianst 15% is probably more on the fold side, but with only 51% c-bet I think call is fine.

15) http://weaktight.com/5981321 - QJo against 15% 3-bet, not the most obvious call ever, but combined with 51% c-bet gets easier.

18) http://weaktight.com/5981333 - Q9s not folding against such small 3-bet and only 44% cbet...
19) http://weaktight.com/5981337 - Not sure if i should defend this one against 22% 3-bet, despite the small sizing from him..
20) http://weaktight.com/5981341 - Same hand against same bet sizing, but this time the player has only 8% 3-bet and only 44% cbet...

everything is going according to plan so far, maybe a bit slower, but thats mainly due to my laziness that shall be destroyed soon ♠_evil:

Anyway I've been practicing and doing some homeworks, training on nl20 against wannabe regs. Today was pretty good day I finally got to play agianst spewy and tilting people, so far I played mostly against super disciplined nits who just cant get stacked ♦ Today I focused more on c/r the flop which seems to be a very powerful weapon, i love it! People play so bad against frequent check/raises

Here is how the week has gone so far:

Definitely not happy with my game, I spewed a lot more than I should've and I honestly tilted hard from the last oponent I played. Some guy from Israel who was donking like a boss and always had it. Don't think he missed a flush draw etc. I spewed 1 stack at the end and just rage quit. Was hoping it would be good day since its weekened etc, but Im really dissapointed. Anyway at least its good I'm making some profit, definitely need to work on my mindset and have a lot more patiance against some opponents. Anyway im really tired and a bit tilted right now, so i will just watch something for few minutes and go to bed.

had rough couple of days, hit stop loss last two days pretty fast, something like 6 BI under EV for 1.2k hands, but sh*t happens Especially when you play against crazy monkeys who make the variance hit the roof and its normal that sometimes they will get the money. Anyway thats all in the past, today was pretty good and I managed to cover my losses and I'm very motivated to crush these donks ♠_biggrin:

Today I played one of my longest sessions and for sure the most hands I've played in a day. 10 hours mostly 3-tabling and about 4.2k hands

Hey, I kind of have the same story as you; got to NL50 but was tired of 6max's steadiness so I bought Heads-Up Mastermind last week and haven't watched all videos and already doing very very great at NL50 heads-up. It really is a fabulous course and we may have already met on the table since I play on stars too.

Hey WillyD, the course is truly amazing I was complete HU fish before watching the course, but just from watching videos and making the homeworks you can already become pretty decent HU player. Ofcourse it takes a lot of practice as well. I don't know if we've played on Stars, do you sit on people or just open tables?

Anyway the week is over and its time for recap. The results are...as break even as it can get

Obviously a lot of room for improvement, I'm not really happy with this graph, but considering the big rake I can't be that dissapointed. Good thing there are rakeback and bonuses so I don't starve to death Last few days I focused on quantity over quality and played a lot of hands. Next week I'm thinking about changing the tactic and see if the results will be better.

Anyway, a short update. Results are not where I want them to be, but I think there is improvement and they will come sooner or later. Today I had a long and awesome coaching session with Gordon and I feel like I got a lot out of it, now I just need to apply everything he showed me. Unfortunately I got a bit tilted tonight, because I kept running into people who just run good first few hands and then quit/or I had to quit because they are solid. Basically lost like 2 BI from people who just win 10-15$ and leave and lost 1 BI AKs vs JJ the very first hand and the guy just insta left

Betting big/overbetting is awesome, I wasnt used to making big bet sizings, but after todays session with Gordon I'm definitely going to do it as people tend to spew it off at the end. I was constantly putting pressure on this guy with big bets and at the end he just gave me the moneyz ♠_evil: /obv luckboxed the river, but still got a lot more than I normally should /

Last night session was going good, but finished brutal

I will have coaching with Gordon in about 1 hour and we will dicsuss some game plans and maybe create some sort of schedule to increase progress speed. Obviously the results are not very good, but there is nothing to worry about, I just need to work harder, because I definitely didn't work hard enough so far. I also need to work more on my mindset since I might have problems there that I couldn't see before and they are causing me to lose motivation and be lazy. Bad results should motivate me to work harder rather than demotivate me! Anyways I'm sure its just small things that will get destroyed one by one and I'm very positive when looking at the big picture. One word: focus!

hey Willy, its because I'm playing under some strict rules right now which make me a bit more passive hence the red line. It wont stay like that, just part of the learning process. My biggest leak is overthinking etc so Gordon is trying to keep me on track for the important and simple stuff.

Well good luck... My biggest advice would be to keep your head cool always and never spew... just by that you will win a lot a lot a lot
