This is an Action Hour tournament, hence the super deep stacks.
Pre is pretty standard imo.
On the flop I decided to cbet for value. Smaller pairs and the few draws that are out there can certainly call me, and this guy can probably even call with some random A high or whatever.
I'm not sure if I have another value bet on the turn, so I decided to check/call instead. I think check/folding is way too weak on this safe turn card, because when I check to him he's probably going to bet almost 100% of the time.
On the river pretty much all draws miss. The only draw that gets there is 89, which I obviously block with my 99. So I think my 99 here is going to be pretty good if he decides to barrel here with his busted draws or complete air (like random A highs that he decides to go nuts with). Of course he could also have me beat, but I think I'm going to be good here pretty often.
Thoughts? Can we consider value betting the turn again? Or can we consider folding the river?
