Hi,

i really don't like the flop c/r otf here. The board is so drawy that a 80vpip guy is never folding and you are getting so much value. You don't want to give him a free card. In general in PLO, a flop c/r is very rare, as you can't leverage enough of your stack in to finish the hand by the turn, so you are forced to play 3 streets with villain knowing you have a very strong hand OOP.

Also, by c/r some hands that might have raised you otf have you bet will now just call. And if someone raises you otf, you can end the hand there.

As played you know see why a c/r is bad here, as you are lost at where you are. I don't mind both bet/folding and check/folding here tbh. I would definetly just call had he not potted it, but the main straight draw hit, so i think a fish has it when he pots.

So you would donk? Or check-call? Didn't see that in the post.

When you check-raise, villain propably thinks you have a set. When a draw completes on the turn, you propably check. And then the villain is even more sure you have a set. The problem with that plan is that about 60% of the time a draw hits on the turn.

Just make the standard cbet

Lol, when hero checked I automaticly thought he has called preflop. C-raise instead of cbet is so rare, I need to fix my eyes.

I played holdem for 2 years, it's a very profitable line with sets on wet boards (XR as pfr) but I see why in omaha it might not be a great line

Yeah when this happens it's usually a tell the player played in nlh. And the difference is ofc that in nlh you were much less likely to get outdrawn if you c/r. If the board was two-tone, you pretty much knew how to act ott. Based on the board structure you could estimate the hands in your opponents range, and know if he has a fd or SD. In plo however, it's often that you have more than 1 draw otf, leaving it very hard to play on turns.

Even more important, if the board pairs ott, you will get a LOT of folds with your bet, which is something you don't want with the nuts.
