A bit of a silly qustion maybe, but how to quickly determine during the hand which ones of my outs are for the nuts? :P
I mean, I know how to do it, but are there any tricks to do it fast? or does it come with practice? :f_biggrin:

I probably played the hand itself wrong anyway :P

Hi,

you have to estimate the number of outs and nut outs, there's no way around that.

P.S. the call preflop with this hand is really bad. Your hand isn't nearly strong enough to cold call 3bets OOP.

Right, I thought this hand is pretty strong lol but I think i get it now :f_ugly:
I'm against UTG raiser plus a 3 bet, so it's gonna be a multiway pot - what I don't want holding just J high flush draw right?

ps:
If let's say there is only 1 raise (from like a CO) - I can 3 bet this hand OOP right?

_love: Couldn't have said better myself. If you made this deduction by yourself, you definetly have a bright future in plo, as beginners usualy see QJ98 and think it's an awesome prelfop hand. It's a good one, definetly playable in most spots, but for the reasons above it is troublesome.

IF CO is loose you could 3bet. Again, you have to ask yourself about your opponents ranges and tendencies. If he for example opens broadways for the most part, 3betting would be really bad. A hand like KQJ9 has you crushed really hard preflop, and when both of you flop a good hand, it will usually flop even better than you, so you could really loose big. Give that hand to villain in this hand, see how crushed you are otf for example.

If he however likes to open smaller cards, a 3bet here is great. Now you will be the one that will dominate him.

Also remember your hand isn't as good as it could be. If there were no gap or a bottom gap, say QJT9 or QJT8 your hand would be much stronger, as you are more likely to flop wraps with more nut outs, stronger 2 pair and straights... Also, having your hand double suited helps you as well.
