Yes, it seem intuitive that one should get in as much money as possible preflop with the top 2 hands, I just wanted a justification from an experienced player.

Regarding SSS play after doubling up or increasing stack to 25bb and more, are there any articles/threads available for reading concerning the play with other hands in this situation? I find myself at a loss waiting for the blinds to come when I receive AKo, for example, with 30-50bb stack.

@ rowzee - What i usually do whilst waiting for the blinds to come around once i've got 25BB+ is to only play AA's or KK's.

As for any articles/threads concerning the hands to play whilst waiting for the blinds to come around, i've not seen any. Maybe you can attend one of Leo's coachings on a Sunday and ask the great man himself. If i remember rightly from a previous session of Leo's, he advocates playing just AA's or KK's as well.

Another alternative is to just leave the table concerned once you've hit the 25BB+ is you are finding yourself at a loss.

Aces are always worth playing*, I play most of the hands even after doubling up.

Your raise preflop should've been 4x because you got one caller before you. Of course call his push. Nice hand.

* - yes, I know there are cases in which you shouldn't but you WON'T face them EVER ;).
