1. Cedar Rapids
Ed Helms (from US Office sitcom) is brilliant as small time insurance salesman sent to eponymous Iowa city on an insurance conference (Yawnsville, right? Wrong!). Anne Heche surprisingly foxy as the romantic interest and knockout performances by John C. Reilly and Sigourney Weaver cameo add to the package.
See it for feelgood frolics with a good heart and deadly deadpan depiction of small-time Mall America. The bit where leading mand Lippe can't hide his delight at finding his rentacar is an entirely ordinary Chevrolet is lovely and a perfect example of gentle humour that suffuses this nice piece.
