I was seduced into calling preflop due to the 4 limpers and thinking that i would be able to infact extract value if i did hit something good on the streets. Bad idea? (something good means two pair or trips, i may be scared of raising pair of aces with just 8 kicker)

Imagining the all-in didn't happen could i have called turn here?

Converter is a bit messed up. I didn't understand why did you call with A8, there are 2 more villains after you, aren't you scared of that? I have heard of calling with Ax suited but never of Ax offsuited. So easy fold. Correct me if I am wrong.

I agree with veriz i dont like the call here with Ax off

You see, I'm constantly in search of puzzling new situations where i can call hands thinking i can extract value if i hit, post said hands on this forum and Fulfill my destiny as "A Calling Station!!!"

If you want to get value from this kind of situation you should really start making sure that you always have 20BB if possible, instead of 17, as this really affects your implied odds.

Axo you should fold because hitting trips/2 pair is too unlikely. It's much less likely than hitting a set with pps or FD/SD with suited connectors.

Not sure about Axs in this situation.

AXs might be callable preflop, but offsuited no way.
As it was said, a full 20BB stack is a good argument to limp.
The smaller your stack, the smaller the implied odds.
