His PFR by position wasn't ideally progressive, which made me believe he was not exactly positionally aware, his UTG PFR was 18.

I was ahead of his range, so I 3bet for value. Calling would be a mistake I think.

Flop comes ugly, not much to do here besides bet/fold? C/c and c/f too weak? C/r would be too spewy.

Would my line be different if he was just a competent, positionally aware TAG?

hi

I don't think betting is a good option. You can either c/c or c/f. The weaker the player, the more I prefer check/calling once and folding. Weak players tend to stab once and give up, making c/c the ideal line. Aggro villains will often fire multiple barrels and put you in tough spots.
