Based on what I read around the forums and in some other places, is it true the rake is too high for plo25 (6max) and below to be beatable? Even after the rake decrease at stars?

True . But it's still around 10bb/100 in EV, and my knowledge wasn't nearly what it is today... So to the doubters:

Yes, you can beat micro plo if you put the time and effort.

Beatable, but even most regs find it hard to beat the rake.

From my experience plo25 is still incredibly fishy. I mean i played there 3 times last week, twice while making a vid and once during coaching, and even without table selecting i had 2 fish at every table for the most part.

Like i said, if you have a solid game, i think it can be beat easily. The problem is that the "regs" are actually still fishy, so that's why they can't beat the rake.

playing tight preflop to reduce rake is also very important imo....

I'm not proud of this, but my PLO25 stats were like 30/20/6

I completly agree with you tough. Tight is right at these stakes, and i'm 100% that my winrate would be even bigger if i were playing like 27/19/6 insted of the numbers i had.

I'm a believer in these words, will open a blog here or on wordpress for exactly this, starting from PLO5

I've been trying out plo5 zoom and plo10 zoom. The amount of fishes make these limits beatable imo. Their preflop hand selection is absolutely terrible and you will often cooler/crush their ranges if you hand select well.

What about PLO H/L?
Ive played just a few hundred games PLOHL2 and 5 and find it incredibly easy to beat. People overplay low hand and get quartered frequently

Starting with a bankroll of $10, I've worked my way up through PLO2, PLO5 and PLO10 on Stars. Now playing PLO25 with a bankroll of $1000.

Thats risky. I tried that once. Didnt work out too well ;)
Be prepared to move down fast.

I for myself can say that both, regular tables and zoom are beatable below PLO25, and I am far away from being very good. But it takes alot of effort to get there and alot of discipline while playing.

Totally possible - but you need serious volume and you have very very small margin for error long term. One or two loose/ gamble decisions and all of that small edge is gone

Good luck!
